B032 OPTIMISED DATA PRECONDITIONING FOR IMPROVED 3D STRATIGRAPHIC INVERSION OF THE GUDRUN FIELD Abstract 1 Elastic Impedance inversion of 3-D seismic data has the potential to provide better understanding of the reservoir properties and fluid distribution in a prospect. However real case studies have recently indicated the importance of optimal data processing prior to the inversion if reliable reservoir attributes are to be obtained. Here we present a processing workflow that can produce successful inversion results. We demonstrate how the use of effective residual moveout correction and frequency enhancement prior to the inversion are particularly important for obtaining detailed reservoir
