Abstract

G-23 INTEGRATION OF UNCERTAINTIES DUE TO PRE- STACK IMPEDANCE INVERSION IN A RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION PROCESS Abstract 1 In recent years computing pre-stack impedances has been proven to be useful for reservoir characterization. It allows indeed to combine strengths of AVO and inversion. But one of the main challenge is to evaluate correctly the uncertainties introduced by this process and to use them for properly calibrating reservoir properties. In this paper we present a new method able to identify and qualify these uncertainties with the help of massive seismic modelling. [4]. As a result this method provides a reliable calibration of
