Abstract
P058 OIL POOLS IN DEVONIAN DELTAS AND TURBIDITE DEPOSITS IN THE PRIPYAT PALEORIFT SVIETLANA ABRAVETS Introduction 1 Institute of Geological Sciences 7 Kuprevich Street 220141 Minsk Belarus The Pripyat Trough (Belarus) is a part of the Pripyat-Dnieper-Donets aulacogen (Fig.1). Famennian deposits are 500 to 800 m thick and had formed at the major rifting phase of the Pripyat Trough evolution. The Pripyat Trough sandstones with a porosity of 17–19% that are ground water and oil reservoirs have been discovered in the depth range from 3 400 to 3 500 m.
