Abstract

D-44 OPTIMIZED INVERSION OF PRODUCTION DATA FOR RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION Summary 1 Production data obtained from field metering stations are used to interpret how each reservoir behaved. Classes of clearly identified reservoir behaviors are used to represent reservoir heterogeneity (compartments fractures karst variations of quality etc.). Reservoir dynamic behavior is used to identify the most impacting geological features on production. This approach brings information that often was not available. It is successfully used to propose a better adjusted field re-engineering and so to recover more oil from the reservoir. It also helps in delineating field sectors to be studied in detail.
