EarthDoc enables you to browse through thousands of event papers and journal articles online. The geoscience database was launched by EAGE in 2007 and has been growing significantly over the past few years. It is a source of information that is well respected by everyone in the geoscience industry. EarthDoc currently contains around 50,000 papers and articles. The number increases rapidly as new material is added weekly. Pre-conference papers are available on EarthDoc two weeks prior to every EAGE event.

First Break

First Break is EAGE's flagship magazine. It publishes top-quality submitted and commissioned research articles, together with news, monthly topics, industry features and company profiles. Every first of the month the all articles from that month are available on EarthDoc. Included is the full archive of the magazine, which goes back to 1982.

Petroleum Geoscience

The journal Petroleum Geoscience is published by EAGE and the Geological Society of London. It is a refereed journal which is publised four times a year. Petroleum Geoscience aims to improve knowledge of Petroleum Geoscience and reflect the international nature of the petroleum industry. Articles range from exploration geology, geophysics, geochemistry and petrophysics to reservoir geology and reservoir engineering.

In 2009 its Impact Factor rose significantly to 1.220, from 0.808 in 2008. The journal includes in its readership geologists, geophysicists, petroleum engineers, petrophysicists and geochemists in the academic and professional worlds.

Near Surface Geophysics

The journal Near Surface Geophysics is the successor to the European Journal of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics. This refereed publication publishes research and development in geophysics applied to near surface, and is published six times a year.

Near Surface Geophysics is indexed/abstracted in the Current Contents/ Physical, Chemical & Earth Sciences, ISI Alerting Service and Science Citation Index Expanded. The journal's Impact Factor rose to 0.838 in 2009, which is higher than comparable journals related to applied geophysics.

Journal of Environmental & Engineering Geophysics

The Journal of Environmental & Engineering Geophysics (JEEG; ISSN 1083-1363) is the peer-reviewed journal of the Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society (EEGS). JEEG welcomes manuscripts on new developments in near-surface geophysics applied to environmental, engineering, and mining issues as well as novel near-surface geophysics case histories.

JEEG is published four times a year and is available in print as an EEGS member benefit, by subscription, and electronically through EarthDoc. It is listed in the Science Citation Index with a 2007 impact factor of 0.750.

Event papers

EAGE is a professional association with over 16,000 members, which organizes and supports conferences, exhibitions and workshops throughout the world. All conference papers are available on EarthDoc two weeks prior to the event.

EarthDoc includes thousands of event papers from other societies worldwide, such as the Brazilian Geophysical Society (SBGf), the South African Geophysical Association (SAGA), the Asociación Colombiana de Geólogos y Geofísicos (ACGGP) and the Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society (EEGS). Furthermore event papers can be found from important international oil and gas conferences such as the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC).
