P073 The maturity of ocean-bottom seismic: an example from Trinidad Abstract 1 Ocean-bottom seismic (OBS) is a relatively new tool for hydrocarbon exploration. Consequently the ability to extract earth properties (for example structural image velocities lithology etc.) from marine multi-component data is constantly changing. OBS acquisition configurations are more flexible through decoupling the source movement from the receivers on the seafloor. One consequence is that they are not particularly suited to many conventional towed streamer processing methodologies. Further the desire to process P-to-S convertedwave arrivals recorded on the geophones presents an additional level of complexity which must be understood and
