G019 Broadcast and low induction number EM surveys to provide depth to shallow saline waters Abstract 1 The mapping of the presence and depth to saline waters is of importance in Australian agriculture where historical land clearing has led to a slow and economically troublesome rise in saline water tables. Low induction number EM instruments such as the Geonics EM31 are in common use for mapping the spatial extent of shallow salinity but do not provide reliable depth to salt.
