Abstract
An interpretation of aeromagnetic, gravimetric and petrophysical data from the offshore and onshore areas of northern Norway between 67°N and 71°N (Olesen & Torsvik 1993) has been carried out as a collaboration project between Elf Petroleum, Norsk Hydro, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, Statoil and the Geological Survey of Norway. This interpretation constitutes a part of an integrated study including mapping of post- Caledonian faults on land (Tveten & Zwaan 1993) and dating of these faults using the palaeomagnetic method (Torsvik & Olesen 1993).
