Abstract

P042 Z-99 STATIC AND DYNAMIC RPM DEDICATED TO 4D SEISMIC CALIBRATION IN UNCONSOLIDATED SEDIMENTS Summary 1 It is fairly easy nowadays to build static petroelastic models which return highly accurate modeled elastic parameters deduced from rock petrophysical characteristics. Thus after numerous recent core and log studies TOTAL has gained a good understanding of the elastic behavior of unconsolidated sediments. Field production induces a number of dynamic effects in the reservoir. The effects of fluid content variation on rock elastic properties can be evaluated using Gassmann’s theory and Thermodynamics models. The effects of pressure on rock elastic properties are however more
