Abstract
Seismic stratigraphy (Ch.E. Peyton, ed. /1977/ : Seismic Stratigraphy - applications to hydrocarbon exploration. APG Memoir 26, Tulsa) acts as a rectifying factor in the hydrocarbon prospecting specifying seismofacial units which are the suitable place to accumulate hydrocarbons and serve as an introductory method for solving problems in the areas with a lower grade of exploration. Litostratigraphic seismic (M. Lavergne /1973/: Seismique stratigraphique et lithologique. Rev. Ass. Franc. des Techn. du Petrol, vol 22, november 1973) plays a specifying role and is much more detailed due to localizing and defining the seismic picture of the supposed hydrocarbon deposit.
