Abstract
At the 1994 International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems, a panel of computer scientists was convened to discuss the topic "Parallel Computing: What Have We Done Wrong?" After a decade of research and evaluation, a number of contractors and major oil companies refute this question, having deployed massively parallel computers for production seismic processing.
