Abstract

C044 4D quantitative estimation of dynamic reservoir properties for the Gullfaks Field Abstract 1 This work describes the quantitative prediction of dynamic reservoir properties such as changes in fluid saturation and pore pressure. For the Gullfaks field acoustic impedance and Poisson’s ratio changes between the baseline survey (1985) and the three monitor surveys (1996 1999 and 2003) are available from a 4D simultaneous AVO inversion. Using a rock physics model specific for the Brent formation of the Gullfaks field the acoustic impedance and Poisson’s ratio changes are inverted for corresponding changes in water saturation and pore pressure. We demonstrate that
