Abstract

The occurrence and geochemistry of petroleum inclusions in combination with fluid hydrocarbon reservoir samples and reservoir core extracts (Fig.1), is currently becoming an important tool, not only for detailed reservoir characterization, but also for documenting and timing large scale basinal movement of petroleum fluids into, within and out of reservoirs.
