Abstract

E035 GEOMETRY QC USING VECTOR INFIDELITY CORRECTION Abstract 1 In vector fidelity analysis we invert for the recording properties of a multicomponent receiver by comparing the measured and modeled polarizations of a calibration event for a large number of sources. If the source or receiver positions used in the modeling are in error then the predicted polarizations of the calibration events will also be in error which will skew the results. If we have confidence in the vector fidelity of our recording system however then we can use the vector fidelity results to identify and correct errors in the source-receiver
