Abstract
E039 OVERBURDEN COMPLEXITY AND REPEATABILITY OF SEISMIC DATA - A STUDY FROM THE OSEBERG FIELD NORTH SEA Abstract 1 Repeatability of seismic data plays a crucial role in time lapse seismic. There are several factors which can decrease the repeatability dramatically like positioning errors tide processing sequences etc. In this work complexity of overburden structures as an inherent parameter which can affect the repeatability is studied. A Multi-azimuth 3D VSP dataset with 10000 shots is used to study the relation between overburden structures and repeatability of seismic data. The results based on analysis of the VSP data and finite difference
