C-34 VECTOR FIDELITY OF OBS DATA FROM CABLE-BASED AND NODE-BASED ACQUISITION SYSTEMS Abstract 1 We have studied several multi-component data sets acquired with different types of acquisition systems at various locations by different methods. Here we present the results from two different acquisition systems: Cable-based systems and a node-based system. We analyze and discuss the differences in vector fidelity of the data sets. The correlation errors for all component combinations are in general lower for the node-based system than those for the cable-based systems. The major difference is that for the node-based system x and y components correlate very well
