Abstract

A-30 SEISMIC MONITORING OF THE HEIDRUN NORNE AND MIDGARD FIELDS USING STEERABLE STREAMERS Abstract 1 Seismic reservoir monitoring has considerable unrealised potential if higher repeatability can be obtained. Today’s towed streamer systems impose basic limitations on repeatability as streamer feather is difficult to repeat. Horizontally steerable streamers can potentially make repeated streamer positions possible. During the 2001 summer season time-lapse data were acquired over three producing fields in the Norwegian Sea using the new technology. We show in this paper some results of these surveys. Introduction Several 4D success stories have been reported but there are also a number of
