Abstract

Reconnaissance and detailed aeromagnetic surveys have been used to map lithology and structures over a PGM resource near Groblersdal in the Eastern Bushveld. The UG2 Reef and a distinct hanging wall pyroxenite-anorthosite marker were mapped via foot- and hanging wall magnetic markers having a unique negative remanent magnetization signature which may reflect late-stage alteration phenomena.
