This paper presented the results of laboratory studies, pilot field tests and field applications of produced<br>water recycling to steam generators, discussed produced water characteristics, removal of oil and suspended<br>solid, hardness and silica. Up to now, 119, 000 m³/d produced water is recycled to steam generators in china, and<br>realized the goal of uniting the economic, environmental and social benefits together.
