Abstract
The structural setting of the buried Apulian Chain, below the allochthonous units of the Southern Apennines, shows several analogies with the outcropping fold-thrust belt of the Central Apennines, that implicates a same evolution of the Central and Southern Apennines foreland fold-thrust belt during the Pliocene-Quaternary shortening.
