Abstract
Baseline 3D seismics were acquired in 2005 at the Ketzin site. CO2 injection began in June 2008. At the time of the repeat 3D survey in 2009 about 20000 tons of CO2 had been injected into a saline aquifer at about 630 m depth. Preliminary results show a clear CO2 signature with the strongest signal near the injection well. The interpreted distribution of CO2 suggests a heterogeneous reservoir, as does geological data and the 3D seismic interpretation.
