Abstract

This work describes methods of wave’s cinematic characteristics computation in 2D geological model and multiple ray paths conditions. The idea is to calculate the ray trajectories from source to the near bound and from one border to another (at ray path order), instead of monitoring ray trajectory from source to receiver. Moreover, at each border we should calculate linear source (continuous function of ray-out angle along the border). For every linear source its own hodograph can be calculated. In the case of multiple ways there are several linear sources, and therefore it is possible to calculate several separate hodographs, dispersed on this border.
