Electromagnetic scanning is a new application of proven seabed logging technology. Sparse spatial sampling and wide azimuth geometry permits the rapid identification of buried resistive anomalies potentially indicative of hydrocarbon accumulations. In this paper, we evaluate the costs and benefits of various geometries applied to prospects in the Campos basin.
