Perspectives Of Application Of Titanium Alloys When Developing The Deep-Water And Arctic Offshore Hydrocarbon Deposits

The report proves the feasibility of application of items of titanium alloys, including<br>well, operational and repair tubes required for development of the oil and gas fields, and<br>under the specific conditions of their extraction areas - at the considerable depths and in the<br>shelf area of the Arctic seas. The main factors for feasible development of such fields are the<br>following: cost and reliability of the structural materials required for fabrication of the<br>different systems of extraction, primary refining and transportation of carbohydrates with or<br>without expensive offshore structures, under the severe conditions (low temperatures, drift-ice<br>etc.), and in case of aggressive environment (sea water, hydrosulphides etc.).
