Abstract
The storage spaces of carbonate reservoirs in Tarim are mostly secondary, and these reservoirs are characterized by strong heterogeneity and some degree of anisotropy. For caved reservoirs in Tarim, the precise rock physics and AVO forward analysis are performed, and the characteristics of two kinds of hydrocarbon reservoirs saturated with different fluids (oil, gas and water) are discussed by cross-plot analysis using logging data. According to the cross-plot results, several optimized sets of sensitive fluid factors are selected. Finally, on the basis of prestack inversion results, the optimized sensitive fluid factors are extracted from the prestack results, and the cross-plot analysis is then performed. The range of reservoir filled with gas, water and oil is ascertained respectively. Thus the prediction results of fluid distribution for the whole research areas are obtained, and the reasonability of the prediction results is proved by comparison with drilling and oil testing results.
