Abstract

The seismic inversion is known to be ambiguous, i.e. there is an infinite set of reflectivity series that agree with a seismic trace that has a certain bandwidth. We develop a super-resolution approach to the migrated volume inversion. The proposed method is based on the analysis of the interference of seismic events in neighbouring traces. Synthetic and real-data tests show that the approach is promissory.
