Abstract

In this paper we analyze capabilities of F-X deconvolution in reducing incoherent noise. Different types of seismic data, including synthetic data with linear and non-linear in t-x domain events and real seismic reflection data were processed using F-X deconvolution and results were compared. We came to conclusion that F-X deconvolution is efficient method for reducing of incoherent noise when the input data contains events close to linear. To achieve better filtering result on pre-stack reflection seismic gathers it is recommended that NMO correction is applied prior to FX filtering.
