Abstract
The computation of residual static corrections is a non-linear optimum problem. Static correction estimation using a Monte Carlo technique has some severe shortcomings, such as the time-consuming iterations (above 1000 times) and the lack of suitable temperature parameter for fast convergence. This paper presents a method of hybrid global optimum automatic residual static correction by involving energy maximization, simulated annealing and genetic algorithms. It is seen from the application in some areas of South America that the hybrid optimum technique is superior to other methods both in the computation speed and in the precision of solutions. The application of this method shows high stability, time saving, fewer iteration times and fast convergence to the global optimum solutions.
