Abstract

Consistency is the primary technical problem of land-4D seismic studies that involve various techniques in acquisition and processing, which are key to obtaining accurate seismic attribute changes resulting from non-reservoir factors. In this text, we use a 4D seismic project of the SY region in the Liaohe Oil Field as an example. We study and analyze typical technical difficulties in consistency work, and draw up relevant measures to ensure monitoring results. From the single shot records and sections, the effect is clear: the data consistency is achieved, and from the difference between sections of two different periods, the steam cavity can be clearly monitored. This proves that these measures to ensure consistency are correct and feasible, and can be widely applied, promoted, and used as specifications of land-4D seismic consistency techniques.
