Abstract

In this paper, we present a case study of application of Multi-well-Constrained Depth Imaging (MWCDI) and depthing workflow to a land 3D data set in Kuwait. The MWCDI results are compared to the earlier PSDM results with limited well constraints. The comparison shows that MWCDI resulted in significantly better structural definition, better well ties, and more focused image of target zones. It is also significant that the blind and new well ties are very close match to actual well data providing confidence to interpreters to use the MWCDI volume directly for depth interpretation
