P217 DEPOSITIONAL AND PRODUCTION RELATED ANISOTROPIES IN THE EKOFISK CHALK RESERVOIR. 1 Summary: Understanding and prediction of anisotropies within the reservoir is very important in the development of the mature Ekofisk Field. Reservoir data show that heterogeneities are present within the chalk both on a lateral and vertical scale. These heterogeneities are related to both primary factors like deposition and diagenesis and secondary factors related to production of the field. Chalks of gravity-flow origin dominate the Ekofisk Field deposits. Within such a dynamic depositional system it is expected to find large variations both in the lateral extension and of the
