Abstract

P316 IMPROVED TIME-LAPSE SEISMIC REPEATABILITY AND IMPACT ON QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS – STATFJORD FIELD Summary 1 Attempts at quantitative analysis of time-lapse data have been constrained by problems of repeatability. A subset of the Statfjord time-lapse seismic data set previously processed in 1998 was reprocessed in 2001 with emphasis on improved repeatability. A preliminary quantitative time-lapse analysis was carried out for both vintages of processing to assess the effect of improved repeatability on quantitative predictions of bypassed hydrocarbons. Introduction The benefits of time-lapse analysis for mapping production related effects have been demonstrated for both saturation and pressure changes (Landrø 2001). Most
