The Application of the Multi-mineral Model in a Block of Southern China

The multi-mineral model, which is preferred than conventional well-log interpretation, has been used to solve the problem of geology for a block located in southern China including identification of complex lithology and more accurate quantitative evaluation for reservoir parameters in this paper. The study on the analysis of the multi-mineral composition, determination of the key parameters, reliability analysis and result examination for the model has been carried out. Compared to the core-derived data, the well-log interpretation using the multi-mineral model yields a good result with higher degree of accuracy.
