Abstract

Summary

Trend information for reservoir prediction obtained during interval analysis of attribute calculation and compared to the geological thickness plays crucial role for reservoir model calibration and for improvement of interwell space characteristics. However, it doesn’t describe reservoir characteristics with sufficient accuracy due to heterogeneity of geological processes. Geological model upscaling as well as variability of horizon characteristics with constant seismic intervals resulting in highly upscaled of calculated models. Increase of drilling rates leads to the data accumulation and to the subsequent update of reservoir model.

Well-timed renovation of trend information based on signal amplitude analysis in the sequence, signal decomposition of spectrum, RGB, HSB blend of different frequency components and study of 3D amplitudes allow to avoid of high risks in well design and to modify the well drilling program.
