Abstract
We present an integrated geophysical study for two subsalt reservoirs part of a field development project situated in deep-offshore Angola. Tertiary turbiditic reservoirs are found in a structurally complex setting of tectonised series yielding steep-dipping and overturned thrusts beneath thick allochtonous salt canopies of complex geomorphologies where poor seismic images are traditionally obtained. After a brief description of geological context and exploration resume, we first underline the geophysical reasons for subsalt seismic imaging difficulties. Then, we emphasize the steady progress made in the last decade towards reliable subsalt image enhancement and geological modeling through integrated multi-disciplinary interpretation for field development purpose on two subsalt structures.
