A043 ASSETS AND DRAWBACKS OF DRAPED AIRBORNE-MAGNETIC SURVEYS IN HIGHLY MAGNETIZED REGIONS – A CASE STUDY Summary 1 High resolution draped airborne magnetic surveys are ideal for the collection of huge amounts of data in a relatively short time especially in areas that are not directly accessible from the ground like young volcanic morphologies. Technological developments have steadily increased the precision and consequently the possibilities of the airborne magnetic method.
