Abstract
Summary
Linearized 2-D P-wave reflection coefficient at a planar weak-contrast interface separating two weakly anisotropic TTI half-spaces is derived. The approximation is a function of incidence phase angle, anisotropy parameters, and tilt angles. Expression takes the form of well-known AVO “Shuey-type” equation and gives an insight on the influence of the tilt angles and anisotropy parameters on the AVO attributes. There are no assumptions made on the tilt angles in both half-spaces above and below the interface. Obtained AVO attributes converge to well-known approximations for VTI and HTI media derived by Ruger in corresponding limits. Comparison with numerical solution demonstrates good accuracy.
