Abstract

Summary

We present a full waveform inversion scheme based on the ray-Born approximation and t-matrix rock physic method. We show how the this theory can be implemented in a cost efficient way. The theory’s advantages are that it may invert linearly for fracture densities, and for other fracture parameters, e.g. aspect ratio and alignment, through simple iteration. It is also possible to include attenuation, pore-elastic effects and other frequency dependent effects.
