Abstract

Summary

In seismic acquisition, dense shot intervals may not be realized because of the environment or other causes. The loss of active recordings or the sparse shot intervals in real acquisition would reduce the imaging quality. We propose an imaging method with combined seismic data, which created by interpolating active seismic data using passive seismic data. We use the method of seismic interferometry to reconstruct passive recordings, and conduct iterative denoising algorithm to extract effective signals from the original retrieved recordings. We propose a least square method to interpolate active and passive seismic data. Here we consider shot interpolation problems in common shot domain as trace interpolation problems in common detector domain. After interpolation, we conduct pre-stack depth migration using combined active and passive seismic data. From the final imaging results, we find that using combined seismic data can not only improve the field work efficiency, but also guarantee the imaging quality.
