Abstract

Summary

The most efficient way of generating seismic waves whose wavelengths are much bigger than the distance between two or more sources is by emitting them in phase. This simple idea is exploited in the proposed vibroseis acquisition and processing method here referred to as shared low frequency vibroseis. I formulate the theory and I present the promising results obtained using onshore seismic data.
