Summary

Wave propagation in a fluid layer and solid layers can be described with the acoustic and anelastic wave equations, respectively. To combine the two kinds of equations, boundary conditions need to be used at the fluid-solid interface to express the relationship between pressure and stresses. But the traditional FD method has some difficult in treating a irregular fluid-solid interface, and in the conversion of acoustic waves and elastic waves, there will be some false reflections and artificial diffraction because of the rectangular grids discretion. A multi-block coordinate transformation method is proposed, which meshes every layer to curved grids and transforms every interface to horizontal interface, and allocates vertical sampling points adaptively. In the meanwhile, we use different grid size in different regions according to the shape and the parameter of aim regions. The tests for a simple and a complex irregular fluid-solid interface model proved the accuracy, superior of our mixed grid method in an auxiliary coordinate system.
