Abstract
The study of the regional zones where reservoir rocks are spread which are complicated by the secondary alterations should be prioritized because they contain about a third of the region’s hydrocarbon resources, and some of these fields present promising assets for geological exploration in all of the North of the West-Siberian Plate. Another reason the fields with the altered structure of the porous space should be studied intensively is that they are slated to be commissioned soon. Besides, definition and description of the main factors influencing the scope and type of the secondary alterations will make it possible to more efficiently design and implement geological survey in the areas of interest where the porous space is affected by the secondary alterations. This article defines the primary factors influencing the composition, intensity and type of the secondary alterations in reservoir rocks (litho-facial, chemical and techtonic). It is determined that the process of zeolitization is primarily affected by the litho-facial and chemical factors, the process of carbonization – by chemical and tectonic factors, and the processes of desalination and the secondary minerogesis is mostly influenced by the tectonic factor.
