Abstract
The seismic researches in the transition zones from the land to the sea (the transit areas), including elements of both the offshore and the overland operations, are one of the most high-technology types of the geophysical service requiring application of the most progressive equipment, technology and logistics. In the North of Western Siberia the shallow water areas adjacent to the seashore are studied absolutely insufficiently to solve the tasks of the research - estimative stage of geological exploration; the question is about hundreds of thousands of the square kilometers of potentially oil and gas perspective territories. From the seismic exploration point of view the transit area is a water (offshore) area where application of the towed marine streamer is impossible because of small depths, the geophone coupling with the environment is complicated, application of explosives is forbidden, application of the seismic source point is inefficient. Besides, there are strict requirements to the ecological safety of the operations performance in the transit area.
The complex of summer & winter works developed and applicated by the company NOVATEK to the transit area conditions of the North of Western Siberia allows to solve the problems of transit areas for our region with the 3D seismic exploration materials of high-quality.
