Abstract

Summary

In this study we demonstrate the application of KF for joint analysis of timeshift and AVA information using geomechanics simulators and convolutional seismic modeling. We invert for the change in pore pressure and elastic parameters using predictor-correction KF scheme. We show that the KF enable us to naturally assimilate time shifts and AVA and that the assimilated solution contain low frequency information not available in both base and monitor AVA analysis. A simple proof-of-concept case study is demonstrated. The method is flexible and can be extended to accommodate additional measurements.
