Summary
We propose a new acoustic-elastic coupled full waveform inversion method in which the pressure-velocity and stress-velocity equations are applied for the acoustic and elastic media respectively by finite-difference modeling method in the time domain adding with the interface boundary conditions, utilizing only the pressure dates. Comparing with the acoustic modeling, we validate the accuracy of forward modeling of acoustic-elastic method. A complexed model called elastic Marmousi II is applied by the method we present in this paper using only the P-wave data and shows the reliable results.
