Abstract

Summary

The Zhongguai paleo-upwarping is located at the north-west margin of Junggar basin in China. Main lithology of the Carboniferous is igneous rock. Favorable reservoirs are mainly distributed within the weathering crust, the top 170m of Zhongguai paleo-upwarping. The hydrocarbon exploration is hard given a variety of lithology combination and the complex fault development. We propose a new path for potential zone prediction of igneous rock, including reservoirs prediction, seismic attributes analysis and hydrocarbon accumulation analysis using stacked seismic data. The multiple application of geological and geophysical methods is a good petroleum exploration reference in Zhongguai paleo-upwaring.
