Abstract

Summary

Over the past years many interpretative processes and technologies have been tried and published that compete to contribute to the resilience of this particular market. This observation is valid throughout the life cycle of a shale play, from the appraisal phase all the way to today’s challenges in addressing the question: what to do next in order to maintain production at the current oil prices, as for many operators the sweet spots have been drilled! Staying in or around the sweet spots rather than expanding into virgin higher risk territories seems to attract much more attention from the market players. The presentation focuses on positioning and presenting various technologies and workflows impacting shale activities.
