Abstract

Summary

Using the scaling function from Well A, downscaling is performed and well velocities in depth domain are predicted from seismic interval velocities. The amplitude of Pair Correlation Function is calculated on these predicted logs to delineate the producing zones from the non-producing ones and even predict future locations to drill wells. If this study can be extended to a larger area, one can definitely study the behavior of the reservoir and might even prove to minimize the risk of drilling a dry hole.
