Abstract

Summary

Reservoir parameters play an important role in reservoir description. The elastic parameters can be converted to reservoir parameters by using some rock-physics relationships. We have found that the relationships between elastic parameters and reservoir parameters can be affected by lithofacies. Also, the estimation results can be easily affected by the different accuracy of the input elastic parameter variables. We propose to build statistical rock-physics model under constraint of lithofacies to make the relationships between elastic parameters and reservoir parameters more reasonable and use weight factors to adjust the amount of different elastic information used in the Bayesian inversion step. Analysis performed on real data shows that the results of estimation are in good agreements with the logging data.
