Abstract

Summary

Absorption coefficient plays an important role in reservoir research, but for thin-bed reservoir, due to tuning effect, its application in practice has great challenge. To remove the tuning effect, this paper puts forward a method of separating reflection wave of each interface for thin-bed based on matching pursuit. Then spectral ratio is applied to calculate absorption coefficient by the spectrum of each separated reflection wave. Synthetic and real data demonstrate the effectiveness of this method.
